Here are pix from a visit to the Coronado Islands, 15 miles south west of San Diego. A two hour  boat ride brings you near these fascinating four islands, that are almost completely uninhabited. We circled all the islands and encountered many colonies of sea mammals and birds, incl. sea lions, elephant seals, pelicans, oyster catchers, blue footed boobies and more and on the way saw several whales . This 7 hour excursion was most exciting and filled with natural wonderous sights.
